‘TOB’ Side Table – Monochrome

T.O.B (The Other Brother) is the next iteration in Nicolaou’s Slotted series, which explores the creative potential of flatpack furniture.
The side table is the antithesis of its mass-produced counterparts. In Nicolaou’s hands, the flatpack becomes a puzzle that can be solved through multiple combinations. The table’s outward simplicity is the product of experimentation and radical redesign, achieving a technically challenging construction that effortlessly flows together in assembly.
Held together with a magnet, the T.O.B defies the expected mechanics of a flatpack side table, with wooden legs that extend through the centre of a wooden or glass lid in a bold and tactile combination of materialities.
